What can I tell you about me . . . Danette J Hansen.
I've always been a passionate person with a vivid imagination. I guess that's why I write novels. My characters tend to go on their own self-discovery journey's, so it's fitting that I'm drawn to life coaching and self-improvement principles. I've personally benefited from the tools and strategies I teach through my coaching and they have been life-changing.

I've come from a place of pain where I once hid from the outside world, to a place excited to embrace what the world has to offer.
Life now happens "for me," instead of "to me."
I've learned that we attach opinions to our life experiences;
it's not life that has an opinion of us.

It's human nature to prefer to live safely in the comfort zone, resisting any change. However in life, CHANGE is a guarantee. There's three types of change that enter into our lives; one is by chance. Chance comes from the ever-changing circumstances or events presented in life that are often beyond our control. Another change introduced to us is through crisis. When a crisis enters our lives we have no choice but to change. The question is: will our change be for the better? When I was forced in to "change" a few years back, I didn't change for the better, instead I dug a deep hole in the sand away from everyone else in order to protect myself from any further pain. This closed-off state that I put myself in didn't serve me in the least.
Humans are meant for connection.
Resisting this forced change is what did me the most harm. It's much easier to "choose" to change.
I finally got to a point where I was ready to make the proper changes necessary to finally enjoy life and human connections.
I've learned that regardless of what was happening around me, or how others viewed me--I could still live life to its fullest. I had the power within myself to be content and happy. I just had to tap into this inner power. Self-improvement coaching showed me how to come from a conscious responding space, instead of impulsive reactive place, which didn't allow me to show-up as my better self.
This knowledge has been so empowering. It empowers me to take personal responsibility for the way I think and act. I had to "own" what was in my life and strive for what I really wanted. And then, it's always my responsibility to make it happen.

I invite you to "choose" to make changes for the better so you can show-up in your life as your best-self.

I love to see others gain the same empowerment and contentment in life that I have. Let's work together and empower YOU to the point that you'll also say that, "Life is happening for me, not to me."
